Peace for Israel and its neighbours is possible.

They are ready - even if with reservations and great fear - to reach out to each other with peaceful intentions in order to exchange the spectres of fear, terror, murder, war and greed for political for the "challenge" of living a peaceful life together. To be sure, this requires dismantling of mistrust, opening of hearts, and quick- or at least medium-term security measures. But peace isn't only possible, it corresponds to the deep longing of the people and is what the majority wants in their innermost hearts.
The majority of the occupants of this region are wishing - though with fear
of the unknown - to reach a hand to a peaceful agreement that will abolish
terror and other aspects of violence and lead to a life of mutual
understanding and cooperation, bridging the differences of creed, politics
and cultural differences.
Undoubtedly, this requires a great deal of tolerance from all the parties
involved and a readiness to overcome the hatred of the past in view of the
future. This process needs vision and trust.
These lines from the Old Testament are adequate here:
The first paths in this direction were taken by Y. Rabin.

Thank you for Y. Rabin.
Praised be our Lord!
with you find approval in sight of our future actions.
Please forgive us the killing of our brothers and sisters, our neighbours - your children.
Help us to remove war and the suffering, which we have caused our families and our neighbours. Give us the strength to shape our future peacefully with one another, as an example for all people and nations of this world. (Gen 12,2)
May all find the strength to stand up and to demand with head held high and with a pure heart:
We want peace ...
... conflicts will be solved in serious negotiations without weapons
- an acceptable solution for both sides will be found.
We want peace ...
... terrorists and war-mongers are to be stopped with combined efforts.
We want peace ...
... we see our neighbours as humans, brothers and sisters,
children of our Creator.
We want peace ... weŽll give our best!
